Introducing The Frog Lead-Zinc-Silver Project, a prime mining opportunity located approximately 170 km east of Dease Lake, BC, near Cassiar Highway 37, and just 70 km east of the major Kutcho Creek copper-zinc deposit.
Location of Frog Project
Key Highlights
Frog Lead-Zinc-Silver-Copper Deposit
The Frog deposit is located 170 km east of Dease Lake, BC, and 70 km east of Kutcho Creek. There is a gravel airstrip at Kutcho and a 100 km seasonal road connecting to Dease Lake on Highway 37.
Historical Background:
Discovered before the 1950s, held by Conwest Mining Ltd (1960s-70s), and Cominco Ltd (1970s-1989).
In the early 1960s, Conwest excavated high-grade material averaging 29.7% lead, 6.8% zinc, 0.6% copper, 16.6 oz/t silver, and 0.01 oz/t gold.
Various surveys and drilling programs were conducted but failed to intersect high-grade mineralization due to drilling in the wrong direction.
Significant soil sample surveys outlined high-value lead, zinc, and manganese anomalies measuring roughly 2 km by 2 km.
Key Surveys and Findings:
Eight historical assessment reports and surveys outlined significant anomalies and recommended follow-up drilling.
The most important survey by Conwest identified a large high-value anomalous area.
Recent government-funded airborne magnetic surveys indicate a potential large porphyry copper deposit below the lead-zinc-copper-manganese mineralization.
